Devco has formed a partnership to bring student
housing to the downtown George Street corridor. College Hall will
include 180 student apartment suites, a retail component, and space
designated for Rutgers use, such as a fitness center or bookstore
annex. The mixed-use facility ensures a positive economic impact
upon the downtown, while the planned 820-car parking garage caters
to the city's growing parking demand.
The facility combines the best of university living with amenities.
The location of College Hall is in close proximity to restaurants,
retail, and entertainment and allows for easy access to the primary
bus route running between Rutgers University campuses.
The feasibility of the project is further secured by the experience
of the project participants, a strong demand, and an excellent site
location.
College Hall represents another way in which a mixed-use development
can enhance New Brunswick's image as an urban destination while
accommodating the needs of the greater community.
